Job SummaryAbout the Position: Serves as a Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System Technician in a Medical Treatment Facility, responsible for a variety of duties associated with the collection, analysis, maintenance, consolidation, evaluation of budget and accounting, cost, manpower, and productivity data for the Department of Defense Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

QualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service in a variety of duties associated with the collection, analysis, maintenance, consolidation, evaluation of budget and accounting, cost, manpower, and productivity data.

Major DutiesCoordinates with the appropriate Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System Program Office and the Defense Health Agency offices on the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting SystemPrepares numerous budget and accounting cost management reports and analyzes data for accuracy, discrepancies, and trendsConducts research when data does not appear to follow current or historical trends and resolves errors and/or questionable data.Develops special reports for local needs and potential impacts on the organization and the servicing area.Reviews, interprets, and maintains current knowledge of regulations, directives, manuals, etc., relating to the Department of Defense Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System
