Job Requirements A Day in the Life of a Facilities Manager The Facilities Manager works under the supervision of the Administrator of Facilities Management. This position supervises the day-to-day management of plant operations. Supervises facilities team leaders in the repair, replacement, and installation of items relating to the operation of all facilities. Secures bids and estimates from outside contractors and vendors. • Ensures the proper installation of mechanical systems, fire, communication, nurse call, fire sprinkler and other technical systems. • Manages bids and estimates from outside contractors through approval process. • Researches equipment and supply requirements for Plant Operations; responsible for ordering. • Ensures the hospital is compliant with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations. • Maintains regulatory compliance documentation for State Health Inspections and all life safety testing as per Joint Commission. • Assigns and oversees work orders, time sheets, maintenance cards, equipment operating instructions, maintenance records and other governmental records for completeness and accuracy. • Recommends and submits financial data regarding Plant Operations to the department Director as a part of a year’s fiscal budget process. • Assists in training, technical updates, in-services and orientation of new maintenance personnel to policies, procedures, practices and requirements. • Supports operational staff in the coordination of all utility and system shutdowns, maintenance of safety equipment, and performing requested safety and security functions. • Participates on the Environment of Care Committee and assists in the Hospital Safety program as needed. • Provides operational leadership and has budget responsibilities. Adheres to established leadership competencies, service standards and reinforces excellence in those standards with subordinates. • Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance activities and advise Facilities Administrator on equipment replacement strategies and capital planning. • Reviews, maintains, and trains on emergency operations plans to ensure hospital safety through utility failures, severe weather incidents, and other disaster scenarios. Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of the physical plants, their operation and maintenance • Knowledge of each craft under supervision • Knowledge of building automation systems, maintenance management systems, building plans and Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must possess sound decision-making and good interpersonal skills, quantitative/qualitative analysis abilities • Leadership and teamwork abilities combined with budget development skills Here is What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and five (5) or more years of facilities management experience-OR, Associate’s degree and seven (7) or more years of facilities management experience-OR, High school diploma (or equivalent from an accredited program) and nine (9) or more years of facilities management experience • Valid USA driver’s license • Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s driving guidelines Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in management or engineering • Member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) • Experience with healthcare accrediting organizations, working with environment of care standards and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code About Cheyenne Regional: Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was founded in 1867 as a tent hospital by the Union Pacific Railroad to treat workers injured while building the transcontinental railroad.
