OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting, the Financial Analyst supports CM’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles and prepares financial presentations and reports for various levels of leadership.
This is a full-time, salary paid position, which requires residency in Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with Finance, operational teams, and department leaders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and communicate financial insights that support planning and decision-making.
• Support and/or lead assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes.
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes and the preparation of financial statements.
• Analyze financial information to prepare accounting related records (e.g., invoices, journal entries) as required.
• Review past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and assist in decision making process.

• Assist in developing dashboards, reporting tools, commentary, and analysis for program and departmental results.
• Assist in preparation of key metric reporting for company leadership, board of directors, and external reporting.
• Prepare commentary on point-in-time and period-over-period revenue and cost results to help management understand changes in financial performance.
• Review processes and make recommendations for improvements to be implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• University Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance, or Accounting.
• Advanced Excel proficiency required, including financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), and large dataset analysis.
• SAP S4 HANA/ SAP Fiori, PowerBI and Datarails experience would be a
Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
• Able to summarize large quantities of complicated information in an efficient and clear manner.
• Can develop clear, accurate, and professional presentations.
• Skilled at performing drill-down and variance analysis across multiple dimensions, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements. Work must be completed with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, personal responsibility, and accountability.
• Works effectively with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams in a dynamic context (changing priorities).
• Performs well under tight deadlines.
• Experience with process improvement implementation and/or developing automated dashboards.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a Canadian home office environment.
• Extra or flexible hours may be required on occasion.
• Occasional in-person meetings may be required.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Expected Compensation:
• An annual base salary in the range of $70,000 to $90,000
• The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential base salary range for this role. The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
