What Are You Going to Do?
We are looking to hire a Senior Java Developer to join our nearshoring team and work on innovative eMobility projects for a renowned German sports car manufacturer. You will be part of a cross-functional Agile team responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating business-critical backend systems that enable electric vehicle charging services across Europe. You’ll work on microservices architecture, build and integrate secure REST APIs, and write robust unit and integration tests.The role includes backend development, 3rd level support, and occasional on-call duty.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Design and integrate REST APIs, including mTLS-based secure communication.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and ensure CleanCode practices.
• Implement efficient unit, integration, and system tests.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to challenge requirements, clarify technical details, and present results effectively.
What Do We Expect?
• 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and SQL.
• Proven experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• AWS Developer Associate Certification (or higher)
• Hands-on AWS project experience (min. 1 year), including VPC, Route 53, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, API Gateway
• Git proficiency.
• Microservices design expertise.
• Fluent English (C1 preferred, B2 minimum)
At least one of the following skills:
• Frontend Development (Angular 16+ & Angular Material UI).
• Reactive Programming & Quarkus.
• Backend Test Automation (integration & system tests)
Nice to have (big advantage):
• CI/CD with GitLab, Terraform, Clean Architecture, OpenTelemetry.
• Kafka, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.
• eMobility knowledge (OCPP, OCPI, OICP, MSP, CPO, Hubject)
