Job Description of IT Support Specialist Responsibilities: • Report to the Regional IT Manager and cover the Americas regions for IT support. • Prepare, inventory and deploy end-users laptops/workstations across Europe. • Perform system administration and provide second line user support. • Be responsible of the good working of end-user IT assets in Europe region. • Diagnose & document hardware & software problems (building a knowledge base) • Use problem-solving skills to fix immediate hardware/software problems as well as to define long term problem solutions. • Assist the IT Manager to implement corporate IT projects • Application and user account/profile administration • Prepare relevant documentation and production changes • Improve security on/out the IT network • Constant hardware/software inventory update and maintain local system configuration. • Perform pro-active actions on all services and identify possible blocking points & bottlenecks. • Implement projects to meet requirements and standards in a timely and professional manner. • Provide skill transfers to other team members. • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. • Act as the main onsite engineer in charge of the Herndon Office in USA for all end-users Requirements: • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. • Fast learner, team player. • Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN technology, VPN, SD WAN, etc. • Basic knowledge on Linux/Unix OS (Centos/RedHat) & Windows 2016+ server. • Good knowledge on Apple computers. • Basic knowledge in open source solutions (Open LDAP, Postfix, …) • Knowledge about Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Saviynt, Zoom. • Able to provide technical solutions and alternatives from high level requirements • Able to complete task at a timely manner • Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills. • Proven ability to keep track of multiple tasks and projects at once. • Strong written and verbal communication in English • Independent, mature, initiative and is able to produce high quality deliverables under tight schedule. • Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and to work in continually changing environments. This role is required to work US Timezone so will be night shifts..
