Your Key Responsibilities The Operations NPL Manager leads and manages a new development project within the operations to support the project time, budget and functionality. Responsible for the specific input and output from the discipline in support of achieving project team objectives and targets. Due to the experience and background (s)he is able to coach and guide less experienced NPL Managers. Project Management: Develop detailed, realistic project plans aligned with schedules, ensuring timely delivery of commitments. Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) and regularly report project status on timing, quality, and risks to management. Project Initiation and Planning: Oversee completion of operational activities meeting cost, timing, and quality requirements while managing resources and delegating tasks. Coordinate launches, drive process improvements, and ensure achievement of KPIs such as OEE and FPY. Steer Execution of Project: Control project timelines and costs by coordinating activities and enforcing budgets while minimizing excess materials. Drive quality through DFM reviews, Lean compliance, and ensure manufacturing feasibility for product/process changes. Project Controls and Reporting: Provide regular status updates and escalate risks/issues to relevant management or project stakeholders. Align project progress with operational goals using established tools and processes. Improvement / Maintenance: Promote and implement continuous improvements based on lessons learned and support quality issue resolution. Manage lifecycle maintenance including capacity scaling and product requalification per control plans. Representation of Operations/Plant in Meetings: Represent operations in project, customer, and supplier meetings, advocating project interests and supporting change and problem control activities. Ensure decisions consider timing, cost, quality, and risk. Support APQP Activities: Facilitate communication of specific customer issues and coordinate activities related to Advanced Product Quality Planning. Ensure alignment between customer expectations and project deliverables. Serial Life Management: Manage products in plant from late development through serial production and phase-out. Coordinate product maintenance, change management, and non-conformance activities throughout the product lifecycle. Your Qualification Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics) or other related field or equivalent education and experience require. Approx. 10-12 Years experience with Automotive Quality standards Electromechanics, Automation Know-how Practical understanding of modern production and quality management tools, like lean manufacturing, six sigma and TPM Languages: English, Hindi and preferably Marathi As a global company with employees around the world, it is important to us that we treat each other with respect and value all ideas and perspectives.
