Job Title: Senior Technician (Coatings Specialist) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for detail-oriented and safety-conscious Specialists to support our production operations. This role involves formulating, preparing, mixing, and applying bespoke coating formulations, monitoring processes, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Formulation of various Special Coatings, Paints and Bases Application of coatings using automated systems. Match finishes according to specifications or sample references. Inspect and test completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to project requirements. Maintain spray equipment, tools, and work area in good condition. Follow all safety protocols, including proper ventilation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Record materials used and maintain inventory of paints and supplies. Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications Diploma, NITEC or relevant Certificate in Engineering, Chemical Process, Applied Science, or related field. Proven experience as a chemical process technician or coatings aplication process other relevant fields in coatings technology [automotive/manufacturing/construction/etc.] will be advantageous. Knowledge of different coating types, finishes, and application techniques will be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results. Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness Working Conditions Exposure to aerosol fumes, dust, and other airborne materials PPE will be provided and must be worn for extended periods of time. May involve overtime, weekend work or temporary shift work depending on project deadlines.
