Job Summary Workdays are between Monday-Friday, with some weekends required. Grounds and Facilities Maintain trails, roads, paths, and other outdoor areas of the property. Performs lawn care such as mowing, trimming, reseeding, raking, and edging. Assists in maintaining garden beds by supporting gardening staff, mulching, removing litter, etc. Assists in pruning shrubs and trees as needed. Assists volunteers while fostering positive relationships and encouraging volunteer engagement at the Arboretum. Repairs fencing, picnic tables, benches, gates, walls, and walks as needed. Performs custodial functions of Gabis Facilities such as cleaning restrooms, lobbies, offices, etc. Adheres to all safety regulations while operating equipment. Other duties as assigned. Event Support Performs on-site event set up, break down, and cleaning. Assists with events and facility rentals as needed. Education High School Diploma/GED Experience Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience operating various equipment such as mowers, hand and power tools is preferred. The ability to identify some trees and weeds is preferred. Some basic mechanical knowledge is preferred, such as checking oil, checking and filling equipment with correct fuel, and recognizing engine issues or failures. FLSA Status Non-Exempt
