About this role
We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to support the delivery of complex and high-value projects within the Nuclear and Energy sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting across defined project scopes, working closely with Project Controls Managers, planners, commercial teams, and Work Package Managers.

Maintain and update project budgets, forecasts, and commitmentsTrack and validate actual costs, accruals, and variancesSupport change control processes and assess cost impactsPrepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and sponsor reportingCollaborate with Work Package Managers to compile Monthly Project Reviews (MPRs)Provide analysis to support KPIs, performance monitoring, and continuous improvementContribute to the development and enhancement of cost systems, tools, and processesEngage proactively with stakeholders to ensure cost data integrity and alignment with schedules Required Skills:
4–10 years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, or a related disciplineProven knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and change managementAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and data analysis toolsExperience in large, complex projects ideally within infrastructure, energy, or nuclear sectorsFamiliarity with ERP/project controls software (e.g., SAP, EcoSys, Primavera)Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
Experience with NEC contracts (Option C) and associated reportingKnowledge of commercial processes (NEC/FIDIC)Formal training in cost control, estimating, or forecastingProgress toward professional accreditation (RICS, APM, CICES, PMI, or similar) Why join us?
