About this role

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Electronics Specialist to support the maintenance, integration, and continued airworthiness of advanced aerospace platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex systems within a dynamic and fast-moving engineering environment.

Location: Bedford

On-site Requirement: On Site

Seniority: 5+ Years Experience

Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair avionics and electronic systems.Support aircraft modification and integration programmes.Complete maintenance and airworthiness documentation.Perform functional testing and validation activities.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams.Qualifications

Previous experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.Strong understanding of avionics systems and diagnostics.Familiarity with aviation safety and airworthiness requirements. Required Skills

Previous experience working as a B1 or B2 Aircraft Technician within military, civil, or UAV environments (or equivalent).Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across avionics, electrical, or aircraft systems.Experience interpreting maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.Good understanding of aviation safety requirements, airworthiness regulations, and maintenance best practices.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and operations teams.Soft Skills & Collaboration

Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, compliance, and quality.Effective communication skills when working with engineering, quality, and operational stakeholders.Ability to remain calm and methodical when diagnosing and resolving technical issues.Flexible and team-oriented approach within a dynamic maintenance environment.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or relevant technical military background with equivalent experience.Desirable Skills

EASA or UK CAA Part-66 B1/B2 Licence, or equivalent military qualification.Experience supporting UAV or UAS platforms within operational environments.Knowledge of mission systems, payload integration, or advanced avionics equipment.Previous experience supporting defence, aerospace, or other highly regulated engineering programmes.
