About this role
We are seeking an AIT Electrical Operator to join our team in Stevenage, supporting the assembly, integration and testing of advanced aerospace and space systems within a highly regulated environment.
Location: StevenageOn Site: Fully onsite 5x a weekClearance: Clearable Experience Level: Junior Key Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, integration and test activities in accordance with engineering procedures and work instructions.Prepare hardware and equipment for integration and testing activities.Support electrical and mechanical integration of aerospace and space systems.Execute functional tests and record test results accurately.Identify and report non-conformances, anomalies and defects.Complete manufacturing and quality documentation in line with project requirements.Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.Ensure compliance with quality, safety and cleanliness requirements.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT environment Required Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, integration or test environment.Background in Aerospace, Space, Defence, Electronics, Automotive or another highly regulated industry.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures and technical documentation.Strong practical and hands-on engineering skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Experience working to strict processes and procedures.Good communication and teamwork skills.Flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
Previous experience within an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) environment.Experience working on aerospace, satellite or space-related hardware.Cleanroom experience.Electrical testing or mechanical assembly experience.Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements.
