Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:

The Business Development Leader is primarily responsible for growing Eurofins Clinical Trials Solutions, generating revenue by recruiting regional biopharmaceutical clients in the West Coast territory

Essential Job Duties:

Manage all aspects of regional BioPharma Business Development activities (Biomarkers, Vaccines, regulated and non- regulated Bioanalysis)Proficient in D365 utilization and documenting all activitiesPrioritize activities and identify key accounts in assigned region based on the potential growth opportunity and develop new accounts and customersUp to 30% travel within the assigned territoryMeet or exceed annual New Contracts QuotasStrong understanding of Biomarker, LBA, Flow Cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, NGS platformsEfficiently move a client through the sales process from cold calling to close and follow-upEffectively deliver formal sales presentations to groupsNavigate and penetrate all targeted departments/personnel within an accountPresent Statements of Work (SOWs) in an accurate and timely manner working in conjunction with R&D, clinical operations and project managementPerform targeted activities that maximize client interactions and sales productivity; maintain updated records in SalesforceWork effectively with internal Viracor/BioA/Central Lab stakeholdersProvide input to strategic direction for the overall growth of the BioPharma businessDemonstrate strong leadership skillsUtilize strong network of contacts both inside and outside the CompanyRepresent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and incompliance with applicable regulatory requirements and associate attributes at all timesAttend industry tradeshowsOther duties as assigned by management Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced degree in a related life science or business is preferred; BA/BS degree required3+ years of Business Development experience is preferred5+ years of related experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related healthcare fieldCapable of learning, retaining, and effectively communicating technical materialEffectively uses scientific knowledge in the course of a client visit or presentationAbility to understand the latest information from clinical studies & abstractsDemonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities Ability to influence leadership and othersAbility to make independent decisions regarding matters of significanceWillingness to work outside normal business hours as neededGoal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organizationExcellent verbal & written communication skillsKeenly attentive to detailAbility to keep sensitive information confidentialHigh level of proficiency with PC based software programs The expected salary for this role is flexible based on the candidate and their level of experience. This position will be eligible to earn commission on sales.
