Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Part-Time Laboratory Technician I (Registration Department):
Demonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityResponsible for managing outsourced samples with partner Eurofins laboratories to ensure timely COA release for clientsPreparing samples to be sent to sister labs or other contract labs for subcontracted workResponsible for processing online electronic orders from clients and sister labsWorks with external and/or internal courier services to ensure timely arrival and delivery of samplesAssists in coordinating logistics of courier routes when neededUnderstand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPPs, and MethodsRegistration of incoming samples, maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposesEnter the sample data into Eurofins labware management system in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain supply inventoryAdhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by government regulatory, and company requirements relevant to assigned duties. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Identify process difficulties and report these together with proposed solutions to supervisorMaintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees. Communicate professionally, timely, and clearly to co-workers. This includes “intra” and “inter” departmental employeesPromote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customersContinually strive to improve the quality of work we provide to our clients through existing and new technologiesPerform other related duties as assigned including appropriate aseptic preparation and processing of samples and associated process controlsConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedDisclaimer:

The ideal candidate would possess:
AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related fieldExperience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparationTeam spirit and positive attitude are essential to being successful in this roleStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesBasic Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentWilling to work overtime, weekends and holidays as neededAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Schedule:
