About this role

The FSE I/II performs Calibrations/Qualifications and some repairs on small laboratory instrumentation, including pipettes, balances, timers and thermometers.

Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and repair both in the field and in the lab of various types of laboratory equipment including pipettes, balances, centrifuges and thermometers.Travel to customer sites to perform calibrations and PM’s as necessary.Manage personal parts inventory effectively.Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery, particularly issues impacting turnaround times.Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.Maintain client confidentiality, specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant, assessors).Act impartially within the management system.Perform other tasks as assigned by Management. Two-year degree in a related science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronic engineering, biotechnology, or similar) plus 0-1 years (FSE I) or 1-3 years (FSE II) experience in a related field, preferably as a Field Service TechnicianExperience in providing calibrations on pipettes and/or balances (FSE II).Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environmentsClear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communicationExperience with technical troubleshooting and problem solvingMust be self-motivated and proactiveValid driver’s licenseClean driving recordAbility to travel within customer territory to 1-2 days per week Monday-Friday. Overnight travel as needed. Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of St. Louis, MO are encouraged to apply.

The pay range of this position is $27/h - $34/h depending on related experience and qualification.
