Medical Office Assistant (MOA) ? Family Practice
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy family practice clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a family or general practice setting and be comfortable managing both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer and manage phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner * Schedule and confirm patient appointments * Process and manage incoming referrals and faxes efficiently * Coordinate patient follow-ups and relay test results * Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) * Greet and check in patients, verify demographic and insurance information * Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with routine in-office procedures * Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked * Process requisitions for imaging, labs, and other diagnostic services * Maintain patient privacy and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards * Support front desk operations, billing inquiries, and document scanning/faxing * Monitor and maintain office and medical supply inventory
Qualifications & Skills:
? Previous experience in a family practice or general medical clinic required ? MOA certification is an asset ? Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills ? Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities ? Experience with OSCAR EMR is required ? Working knowledge of general medical terminology
