Security company requires security guard for hotel in Mississauga, in the Meadowvale area.
Permanent opportunity:
* Part time - 20 hours per week * Approximate location is Meadowvale in Mississauga * _*All applicants, please ensure you are able to reliably commute to this area before applying*_ * *This site may have an outdoor patrol component*
Shift timing:
* Monday to Friday, 0000h - 0400h (first shift of the week is 2359h Sunday to 0400h Monday, final shift of the week is 2359h Thursday to 0400h Friday)
Job Requirements:
* Ontario Security Guard License * Standard First Aid CPR-C + AED * Experience at a hotel and enforcing site protocol
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1 year experience in security and customer service * Must be professional and presentable * Have excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills
Duties:
* Unafraid to ensure all who enter the property have business there * Conduct hourly exterior and interior patrols * Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act" * Write and submit reports in a timely manner * Respond to calls from Manager on Duty and guests in a timely manner, with follow up occurring where necessary on the next shift * Work with site staff * Liaise with Toronto Police and other emergency services * De-escalate potential situations * Communicate with their team * Be flexible with work assignments * Interact with site guests in a positive a professional manner * Some postings are mostly static with an occasional patrol * Guards are expected to be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks and patrols
Pay: $17.75-$18.25 per hour
