*POSITION TITLE:* ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN / STRATA MANAGEMENT
*REPORTS TO:* ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER / PRESIDENT
*Description:*
The Accounting Technician is responsible for a wide range of functions related to the overall accounting cycle. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Accounts Receivable*
* Accounts Receivable enter payments into the accounting system and maintain accurate records * Send reminder notices out to owners for payment of charges, as requested by the property manager * Post charges to owner ledgers, as requested by the property manager
*Accounts Payable*
* Receive, scan and electronically file invoices to the server * Match invoices to work orders, verify against quotes and council approval emails * Enter vendor invoices in the accounting system verifying the GL source of funds * Close off work orders and ensure completion of work with the property manager before payment * Prepare payments and distribute or mail cheques as required
*General Accounting Support*
* Prepare Annual and Special General Meeting packages * Answer telephone inquiries from owners, vendors and service providers * Connect with service providers to add and alter supplier accounts as required * Maintain the accounting email inbox, archiving invoices and payment requests * Assist with Monthly Bank Reconciliations * Assist the Accounting Controller with tax return and industry audit preparation * Onboard new strata corporations into the system, including file setup and data entry * Other duties as agreed to from time to time
*Qualifications:*
* Bookkeeping certificate or equivalent experience * 2+ years of accounts payable/receivable experience (strata/property management an asset) * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Effective communication and interpersonal skills * Experience with client data bases and handling of private and confidential information

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm
Remuneration: $48,750 to $54,600 ($25.00 - $28.00/hr)

*Vacation:* 2 weeks vacation
*Christmas Break:* Office is closed annually at Christmas Holidays, typically 10 days in total, Stat Holiday paid includes Boxing Day, compensation of other days during closure are paid as an employee benefit.
*Easter Monday Stat:* In addition to Good Friday, Easter Monday is considered a paid statutory holiday, bringing total Stat days to 13 per year.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
