Responsibilities
• Being escalation point for a variety of change requests/complex issues • Configuration and administration of core routers, switches, firewalls and Linux servers • Architecture and designing the network topologies & comprehensive IT solutions, create and maintain Visio / Lucidchart diagrams, configuration templates, IP addressing (NetBox IPAM) and the low-level design documents that contains all the switching/routing details, migration steps, bandwidth analysis and security policy controls • Write and implements scripts to automate tasks in Linux (Python/Bash/PHP) • Manage various virtualization environments (Proxmox) • Utilize the network monitoring tools to pinpoint issues and bottlenecks in the network and take the necessary steps to rectify it. • Collaborate with various internal groups, business units to understand the applications and provide end to end network solution as per the firm's network standards. • Troubleshoot issues from L2 to L4 of the OSI layer in the network. • Configure and route multicast traffic across the network (PIM, IGMP). • Building, installing and mounting servers and network equipment's in the DataCenter • Troubleshooting server hardware and deep tuning of Linux OS settings to achieve required perfomance • Provide break down of an issue to NOC supervisors to enable them understand and explain the problem to the client. Qualification: • Expert in classless and classful IPv4 address designing, deploying and management.
• In-depth knowledge on Routing, Switching and Network Security with the broad industry experience (OSPF, BGP, PIM) on Cisco; Brocade as a plus. • 3-5 years of experience with designing and implementing large enterprise network environments and with Linux system administration. CCNP or equivalent or higher industry certification are preferred • Hands on experience with Cisco Catalyst 6500 platform, Nexus (3K,5K,9K) switches, TNSR routing platfrom and PFsense firewalls.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocol family and network security technologies. • Designed and built a multi-tier DMZ Network with micro and macro segmentation • Experience in migrating large scale datacenters and providing the support for the applications migrations. • Ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential. • Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able to explain network design, articulate risk and facilitate decision making. • Experience in network data analysis with tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump • Experience in performing administrative tasks on Linux Servers (CentOS and Ubuntu) • Hands on experience with Cisco network equipment. • Experienced in configuring multicast nodes and routing multicast traffic across the network • Hands on experience with PFsense firewall. • Thorough knowledge of server level operations and software principles utilizing Linux CLI. • Hands on experience on building, operating and troubleshoot virtual private server (VPS) • Able to work extra hours if and when required (Maintenance activities and emergencies). • Sufficient knowledge of python/bash/php to be able to read and modify existing automation scripts, as well as write new ones Nice to have: *Knowledge of video transport protocols IP MPEG-TS, HLS, SRT and video standards *Experience working with GPU/ASIC video processing hardware acceleration *Ability to understand existing and create gstreamer/ffmpeg pipelines for use in lab environment *Experience using agentic AI tools, deploying self-hosted
