About this role
*Duties*
* Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques * Assist with special events * Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs * Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities * Maintain and repair sports equipment * Train and supervise staff * Understand principles of group dynamics * Schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records, and prepare reports * Leading/instructing groups * Leading/instructing individuals * Provide lifestyle awareness information * Ensure health and safety regulations are followed * Assemble supplies, sports, and game equipment * Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
*Qualifications:*
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma is required.
- Level 1 certificate in coaching.
- Experience supervising 5 ? 10 people for a minimum of 1 year.
- Effective interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience.
- The ability to understand and communicate with clients from the ages of 5 to 75 and various cultures.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, Monday to Friday and occasional weekends,
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $27.00 per hour
