That is why at IMP, you are not defined by your role.Position Overview:Responsible to IMP CP140 OWSS Deputy Program Manager, and or his delegate, the successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for the Asset Management Group and be responsible for the direct supervision of a team of Asset Management Specialists (AMS). The successful candidate will be required to provide leadership, oversight, and expert level consultative advice in assigned areas of the CP140 Aircraft, including the provision of technical information and analysis, monitoring performance and maintenance requirements, and recommending improvements to optimize life-cycle costs, equipment availability and maintainability. The successful candidate will also be required to review, recommend, amend, and maintain Standard Plant Procedures (SPPs) and work instructions affecting areas within the AMS scope of responsibility.What You Will Do:Supervise the CP140 AMS group, providing guidance, direction, mentorship, and support.Monitor AMS timekeeping, including timesheets, vacation, overtime, workload distribution, and departmental resource requirements.Monitor AMS hours and material budgets on behalf of the CP140 OWSS D/PM, adjusting resources as required to meet workload demands.Act as a liaison with DND customers and coordinate with Engineering, Production, Material, and Program departments to ensure task continuity, teamwork, and CP140 fleet operational availability.Contribute to program optimization, annual and long-term planning, special projects, aircraft modifications, and budget alignment.Ensure AMS key performance indicators are met and provide input to monthly activity reports.Attend and support required OWSS, review, and DND Change Control Board meetings.Develop and maintain SPPs and work instructions, monitor AF9000 procedures, and review procedure changes for AMS impacts.Assess and manage risks through the IMP Risk Management System and ensure appropriate action on technical notices.Review AMS and Engineering reports for quality, compliance, and airworthiness requirements, coordinating recommendations with the appropriate authorities.Assist with annual performance appraisals and promote a safe, respectful, and collaborative workplace.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Will Bring:Ten years of aircraft and aircraft systems experience is required, of which five years should be hands-on work exposure to aircraft type (preferably heavy multi-engine) including supervision of others and release to flight certification authorization. Three years or more of experience in DND aircraft engineering administration or project management is desirable. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of the process of aircraft engineering and maintenance management. Familiarity with DND AF9000 series process is highly desirable. Good technical writing skills, the ability to read and interpret aircraft drawings and knowledge of related CFTOs (including IETMs) would be a significant advantage. Formal training in the CP140 Primary Air Vehicle (PAV) and related systems would be ideal; however, similar experience on another aircraft would be considered and asset. Training in Logistics support, Reliability Centered Maintenance and/or asset management would be considered and asset. Familiarity with the use of computers and MS Office software with abilities in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and access are required. DND experience as an aircraft release authority (
