*Position Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive *Accounting Technician / Bookkeeper* to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax preparation, and proficiency in accounting and office software. This role offers *flexible hours* and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing firm.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for a range of small business clients using *QuickBooks Desktop* and *QuickBooks Online*. * Prepare corporate tax returns (T2) and related schedules. * Prepare personal tax returns (T1) using *TaxCycle Software*. * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, prepare journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledgers. * Prepare and maintain working papers for review. * Assist with payroll, GST/HST filings, and other compliance tasks. * Prepare and edit documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence using *Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook*. * Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner.
*Qualifications*
* Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field (or equivalent experience). * Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a public accounting practice. * Proficiency with *QuickBooks Desktop*, *QuickBooks Online*, and *Microsoft Office Suite*. * Experience with *TaxCycle* or similar tax preparation software preferred. * Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
