*Job Summary:*
We currently have an open position for an EHS Specialist to join our team on the day shift (8:00 am ? 4:30 pm). This role is responsible for coordinating safe work practices, training, and report conformance statuses to management. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement of safety culture throughout the organization and support environmental health and safety programs.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Participate in internally driven initiatives as assigned; including but not limited to, legal compliance assessments and setting up administrative functions (training, maintenance, KPIs, etc.) * Coordinate documents and record retention for safety related items * Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on new and existing processes * Support for incident reports/investigations as well as follow-ups on outstanding corrective actions * Support for WCB claims and assisting in the return-to-work process * Plan and lead emergency drills and tabletop exercises * Assist in distribution and scheduled reviews of Emergency Response Plans (ERP) * Participate in Joint Health and Safety meetings * New worker online orientation setup and management * Ability to organize and conduct presentations and training sessions as required * Coordinate and schedule in-house and third-party training for staff * Assist with audits, questionnaires, meetings, submissions, inquiries, applications, etc. to satisfy customers and support and promote compliance with industry standards (ex. Crop Life Manufacturing, AWSA, Responsible Care) * Time split between office setting and warehouse/production floor * Other duties as assigned by management
*Required Knowledge and Skills:*
* Diploma or Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental, or Health Sciences related field * Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment required * Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan health, safety, and environmental standards and legislation * Experienced user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Understanding of agricultural/chemical industry considered an asset * Valid driver?s license
*Working Conditions:*
* Will be required to work both in an office setting, as well as out on the manufacturing facility floor * Required to be ?on call? for any health and/or safety related issues that occur outside of working hours; this includes evenings and weekends * May be long periods of sitting or standing * Travel to Regina will be required
