Financial ControllerThe Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall financial stewardship and financial reporting of Bidgood's Wholesale Limited, a local family-owned supermarket based in Goulds, NL.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee, lead and develop the finance team, including AP. You will also be directly responsible for the payroll function.Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting ensuring accurate close processes and compliance with accounting standards.Oversees the IT function and the point-of-sales systemManage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, credit facilities, and covenant/lender reporting.Coordinate corporate tax planning, GST/HST and payroll remittances, and CRA compliance with external advisors.Leadership CompetenciesThe Financial Controller must demonstrate:Financial acumenAnalytical problem-solvingAccountability and integrityCommunicationQualificationsBachelor's Degree Business with a major in accounting.Ideally, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior finance role.Strong financial acumen, great interpersonal and team leadership skills.Compensation and Annual LeaveCompetitive SalaryHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance3 week's annual leaveWork Location: This position is based in Goulds, NLJob Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
