*Position Overview*
We?re seeking a caring and dependable *Health Care Aide (HCA)* to provide both *personal care* and *basic medical support under nurse delegation*. You?ll ensure that each client receives safe, consistent, and person-centered care in their home environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility). * Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. * Perform *nurse-delegated health tasks*, such as medication assistance, blood pressure monitoring, glucose checks, and wound care support, according to training and authorization. * Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or Care Coordinator. * Follow individualized care plans and adhere to health and safety procedures. * Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care. * Promote dignity, respect, and independence in every interaction.
*Qualifications*
* *Health Care Aide Certificate (HCS)* recognized in Alberta. * *CPR and First Aid certification* (or willingness to obtain). * Experience in homecare, supportive living, or long-term care preferred. * Ability to follow clinical directions, document accurately, and maintain confidentiality. * Compassionate, reliable, and professional. * Reliable transportation and ability to travel within city and surrounding areas.
