About this role
*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and will have longterm care experience. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. * Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. * Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing stock levels. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication administration. * Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the pharmacy team. * Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with health regulations and safety standards. * Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing prescription orders.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a pharmacy setting. * Knowledge of medication administration processes and protocols. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff. * Experience with Propel is preferred * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating attention to detail. * Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality. * Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as part of the hiring process.
