Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Noisy. Odours. Livestock. Dirty. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Perform general farm duties. Area of specialization: Swine.
