Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and compassionate leader committed to delivering exceptional care? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Neuro Rehabilitation team.
In this role, you will support adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders arising from long-term neurological conditions, providing specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment in outpatient clinics and domiciliary settings. You'll offer expert training, guidance, and advice to colleagues, patients, and carers, ensuring knowledge of communication and swallowing disorders is disseminated throughout the team.
As a senior clinician, you will lead and supervise junior staff, participate in service evaluations and audits, and collaborate closely with the inpatient SLT service in Dudley to ensure seamless transitions of care. As an autonomous practitioner, you will manage a complex caseload, taking responsibility for assessments, interventions, and evaluating outcomes. Main duties of the job
To provide an effective and efficient speech and language therapy service to a caseload of clients who have a neurological condition, including those with complex needs in a variety of settings. Duties will include assessment, diagnosis, therapy (both group and/or individual as appropriate), planning therapy programmes and discharge of patients
