POSITION: Maintenance Manager
SHIFT: Monday – Thursday, 5:45 am - 4:30 pm, Fridays 5:45 am - 11:00 am (OT Saturday and Sunday as needed)
SALARY: $92,206 - $102,000+ DOE + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Billings, MT
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for providing leadership to maintenance personnel and performing maintenance for TrueNorth Steel. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for hiring and training all maintenance staff at the location
• Develop and Maintain the Game Changer Culture within the Maintenance Dept.
• Manage, motivate, develop and provide direct leadership to Maintenance Staff.
• Assist Site Manger in the development of a maintenance budget and insure compliance.
• Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment to verify the completeness and quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment.
• Establish, maintain and monitor maintenance KPI's.
• Establish a proactive maintenance team that minimizes equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to develop a formal scheduled Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Develop a weekly maintenance schedule and assign appropriate personnel.
• Establish an “on call” process for off shift maintenance coverage of facilities/equipment.
• Identify, track and assess equipment repair costs and make recommendations for improvements
• Review daily operating pm's for potential issues with equipment.
• Review and correct labor reporting of employees in software system.
• Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports
• Maintain records of maintenance and safety inspections performed.
• Identifying and Maintaining the appropriates parts to have on hand for critical equipment.
• Ability to communicate with Suppliers to troubleshoot problems and order required parts.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Ability to work in all conditions include weather and heights up to 40 feet.
• Prompt and dependable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIE
• Read, write & speak English.
• Proficient Computer skills in maintenance software, excel, word, outlook.
• Read tape measure to 1/16”.
• Understand/interpret electrical drawings and circuitry as well as having the ability to work on electrical apparatus.
• Understand the function of the various machines involved in TNS fabrication processes.
• Ability to perform a LOTO and document properly.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and being dependable and trustworthy.
• Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.
• Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal and utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
• Ability to develop a particular skill in others to bring them up to a predetermined standard of work performance.
• Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years heavy industrial maintenance and management experience required.
• Electrical/mechanical knowledge and experience.
