About this role

Turn Connections Into Opportunities. Help Change Lives.

Are you energized by meeting new people, building relationships, getting out into the community, and creating opportunities that make a real difference?

Tulsa Welding School is looking for a driven, outgoing, and community-focused Community Outreach Representative to help introduce future students to the possibilities available through skilled trades education.

This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk-all-day kind of role.

You'll be out in the community building relationships with high schools, school districts, workforce organizations, employers, businesses, and community partners. You'll attend career fairs, deliver presentations, identify new outreach opportunities, and serve as an ambassador for Tulsa Welding School.

Your mission is simple: build meaningful relationships, create awareness, generate qualified prospective student leads, and connect those individuals with our Admissions team so they can take the next step toward their future.

If you're a natural relationship builder who loves being in the community, can command a room, follow through on commitments, and get excited about creating new opportunities from the ground up, we want to meet you.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of a StrataTech/Tulsa Welding School campus. This position requires 75–90% travel throughout an assigned territory and may include occasional evening and weekend events.

What You'll Do

As a Community Outreach Representative, you'll be one of the faces of Tulsa Welding School in the communities we serve.

You'll develop relationships, create new partnerships, increase awareness of our educational opportunities, and help build a strong pipeline of prospective students interested in skilled trades careers.

Build Relationships That Matter

You'll develop and maintain relationships with:

• High schools and school districts

• Counselors and educators

• Workforce development organizations

• Community organizations

• Employers

• Local businesses

• Community partners

• Other organizations that can help connect individuals with skilled trades education

This role isn't just about showing up to an event and handing out information. We want someone who can build genuine relationships, earn trust, stay connected, and create partnerships that continue producing opportunities over time.

Get Out Into the Community

You'll spend the majority of your time in the field representing Tulsa Welding School and StrataTech Education Group.

You'll regularly participate in:

• High school presentations

• Career fairs

• Community outreach events

• Workforce initiatives

• Trade shows

• Campus open houses

• Promotional events

• Community partnership activities

Community Outreach Representatives are expected to conduct a minimum of 3–4 high school presentations and/or attend career fairs or community outreach events each week.

You'll need to be comfortable walking into a school, business, community organization, or event and confidently representing our organization and the opportunities our schools provide.

Relationships and outreach should lead to results.

You'll identify individuals who may benefit from our programs, generate qualified prospective student leads, accurately capture their information, and ensure those leads are transferred promptly to the appropriate campus Admissions team.

Your role is focused on outreach and lead generation.

You'll create the connection and opportunity, while partnering closely with Admissions to help prospective students continue their journey.

Find New Opportunities

We're looking for someone who doesn't wait for opportunities to appear.

You'll actively identify:

• New high school relationships

• New community partnerships

• Workforce development opportunities

• Community events

• Career fairs

• Employer relationships

• Local business partnerships

• Other opportunities to expand awareness of Tulsa Welding School

You'll learn your territory, understand where opportunities exist, and continually look for new ways to connect our schools with the communities we serve.

Stay Organized and Follow Through

A successful Community Outreach Representative manages multiple relationships, events, contacts, and commitments at the same time.

You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of:

• Outreach activities

• Community contacts

• Events and presentations

• Lead-generation activities

• Partnership development

• Follow-up commitments

Strong follow-through matters. When you tell a school, community partner, prospective student, or internal team member that you'll do something, we expect you to deliver.

Partner With Admissions

You'll work closely with campus Admissions leadership to support enrollment initiatives and ensure qualified leads move efficiently from community outreach to the appropriate Admissions team.

Success requires strong communication and collaboration.

You'll understand where your responsibility begins and ends while maintaining a strong partnership with the teams responsible for helping prospective students through the next stage of their journey.

What Success Looks Like

The strongest Community Outreach Representatives are visible, active, organized, and connected within their territories.

Success in this role means:

• Building strong and sustainable community relationships

• Developing new high school and community partnerships

• Consistently conducting presentations and attending outreach events

• Generating qualified prospective student leads

• Creating new opportunities rather than relying only on existing relationships

• Following up consistently and professionally

• Maintaining accurate records of outreach activity

• Representing Tulsa Welding School professionally in every interaction

• Collaborating effectively with campus Admissions leadership

• Managing an assigned territory independently

• Maintaining compliance with organizational, accreditor, state, and federal requirements

• Being accountable for both activity and results

We aren't looking for someone who simply attends events.

We're looking for someone who can own a territory, build relationships, create opportunities, and turn community engagement into measurable results.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you are:

• An exceptional relationship builder

• Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people

• Confident presenting to groups

• Professional and polished when representing an organization

• Highly self-motivated

• Organized and dependable

• Comfortable working independently in the field

• Able to manage multiple relationships and priorities simultaneously

• Focused on results and follow-through

• Comfortable developing relationships from the ground up

• Able to communicate effectively with schools, businesses, community organizations, prospective students, and internal teams

• Excited about finding creative ways to build awareness and generate opportunities

• Able to adapt quickly as priorities and community needs change

• Committed to representing Tulsa Welding School with professionalism and integrity

Because this role spends significant time away from the campus, you must also be comfortable managing your schedule, territory, appointments, events, and follow-up responsibilities with a high degree of independence and accountability.

Travel & Location Requirements

This is a highly mobile, field-focused position.

75–90% travel throughout the assigned territory is required.

Regular travel is an essential function of the position and may include occasional evening and weekend events.

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of a Tulsa Welding School campus.

If you're looking for a traditional office-based position, this probably isn't the right opportunity.

If you love being out in the community, building relationships, meeting new people, attending events, and creating opportunities, you may love this role.
