About this role
You'll get to:
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and health maintenance.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
• Perform comprehensive health assessments, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, and imaging studies.
• Develop, implement, and manage treatment plans based on patient assessment findings.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice and organizational guidelines.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and established protocols.
• Administer medications, injections, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
• Perform clinical procedures consistent with education, training, licensure, and organizational policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and manage patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Review patient records, test results, and consultation reports to support continuity of care.
• Respond to patient inquiries, triage patient concerns, and provide clinical consultation as appropriate.
• Recommend community resources and support services to address patient and family needs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, quality standards, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
What you need to succeed:
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Advanced knowledge of nursing theory, evidence-based practice, and patient care standards.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety standards, and clinical best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to educate patients, families, and caregivers effectively.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively in emergency or urgent situations.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred.
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and exceptional patient experiences.
Education & Experience:
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
• Specialty-specific clinical experience may be preferred based on practice needs.
Licenses & Certifications:
• Current Ohio Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license required.
• Current DEA registration, if applicable to specialty and prescribing responsibilities.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional specialty certifications may be required based on practice area.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands: The work environment is well-lit, well-ventilated, and designed for comfort and efficiency. This position requires sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, or reaching. The ideal candidate must be able to view computer screens for long durations and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office setting. For patient care–related roles, the position may also require standing for long periods and the ability to lift or assist patients, medical equipment, or supplies — generally up to 25–50 pounds, as needed to support safe and effective care.
