About this role
Position Overview:
The Driver will be responsible for safely operating a company vehicle to transport materials to various destinations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent organizational skills.
What a day looks like a Driver:
• Operate company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the safety of passengers, goods, and the vehicle
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules for timely transportation
• Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and routine maintenance to ensure proper functioning
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and any necessary documentation
• Comply with traffic laws and company policies at all times
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as necessary
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or customers
• Ensure that all paperwork and documentation are properly completed and submitted
• Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices at all times
Qualifications:
• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents)
• Proven experience as a driver (1-2 years preferred)
• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to lift and carry items as necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
