About this role
The Competition Services Crew III is a group of functional experts with extensive industry knowledge regarding high-level ski racing competitions. In-depth knowledge is required with A-net, B-net, surface preparation and all other aspects of top-level ski racing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Leading a team of volunteers with on-hill manual labor tasks
• Heading up all safety protection plans, including A-net, B-net and air fence
• Surface management with knowledge of watering
• Set up and move the air fence
• Help TV production
• Help timing team
• Color course with dye for visibility
• Organize and prepare timing equipment for the following race/special event
Qualifications:
• Previous experience and familiarity with ski race equipment
• Experience working on a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights
• Be able to ski and be comfortable carrying equipment while skiing
• Ability to carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
• Possess strong verbal communication skills and the ability to hear and respond to instructions, inquires, and information
• Can lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Have strong vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed
