About this role
The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. As a member of the Bozeman team the Maintenance Mechanic will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Mechanic's role is to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
Schedule: 2 pm to 12 am on 4–10-hour shifts across 7 days (Sun - Sat) with 3 days off (at least two consecutive days off) during each week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
· Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
· Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
· Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
· Proficient in process instrumentation including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and calibration
· Read, understand and troubleshoot using electrical schematics
· General electrical troubleshooting of 24v, 110v, 220v and 480v systems
· Understand the theory behind process flow
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting, PLC s, electrical controls, instrumentation
· Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic & hydraulic operations
· Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals
· Strong team, verbal, and written skills
· Must be available ALL DAYS, ALL SHIFTS
· Sanitary welding experience required
· Boiler and/or Refrigeration experience preferred
Education, Experience, and Certifications
· Min. 3 yrs. exp. in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or instrumentation certificate
· Food background preferred, specifically dairy
· Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics), within consumer products.
