About this role

Contract: 6 month fixed-term, full-time Location: London (hybrid-working) Closing Date: 1 September 2026

About the role

As Associate Product Director – Innovation (Maternity Cover), you'll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of Trinity College London's agreed Innovation Roadmap and supporting the launch of new products across our education technology portfolio.

This is a delivery-focused leadership role, designed to provide continuity during a maternity cover period. Rather than defining long-term strategy, you'll be responsible for maintaining momentum across established product initiatives, coordinating priorities, managing delivery risks, and ensuring teams remain focused on agreed objectives.

Working closely with the Chief Product Officer and a highly experienced Product team, you’ll lead day-to-day product operations across Trinity’s products and innovation research projects. You'll collaborate with Product Managers, developers, designers, researchers, and business stakeholders to keep projects on track and deliver key milestones.

You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative team environment, with clear direction, established priorities, and the opportunity to contribute to the successful launch and development of innovative Trinity products.

About you

You're an experienced product leader who is comfortable stepping into an established environment and quickly getting up to speed. You enjoy bringing structure, clarity and focus to complex programmes of work, and you're confident managing multiple priorities while ensuring delivery remains on track. You're highly organised, collaborative and pragmatic, with a strong track record of coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering digital products. You can confidently follow an agreed roadmap, execute against established priorities, and build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

You'll bring:

• Significant experience managing and delivering digital products or product portfolios.

• Strong operational and delivery leadership skills.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, design and commercial stakeholders.

• A solid understanding of product management, user research and agile delivery practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail.

• The ability to quickly understand existing priorities and deliver against agreed objectives.

• Experience within education technology, digital learning or AI-enabled products would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you're someone who can hit the ground running, work effectively within an established team, and provide dependable leadership throughout the maternity cover period, helping to ensure the successful delivery and launch of key Trinity products.
