About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Indonesia team. In this role, you will focus on strengthening our Aussie Specialist Program (ASP) network, executing strategic partnership marketing campaigns, delivering trade events, and driving growth in the Business Events (BE) segment. Working cross-functionally and alongside key industry stakeholders, you will play a vital role in boosting holiday and business travel visitation and spend into Australia.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Jakarta office, reporting directly to the Country Manager, Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Distribution & Product Development: Strengthening the ASP Network to build new products and experiences tailored for High Yield Travelers.
• Partnership Campaigns: Planning and executing strategic partnership campaigns alongside Key Distribution Partners (KDPs), Online Travel Agents (OTAs), non-travel partners, and airlines.
• Trade Events & Alignment: Planning and delivering major trade events while aligning quality partners for consumer and trade marketing programs.
• Business Events & Incentives: Driving incentive travel to Australia by bolstering the Business Events (BE) segment, executing incentive strategies to boost visitation, yield, and regional dispersal.
• Strategic Partnerships: Creating and supporting opportunities to expand Australian travel experiences through collaborative partnerships.
• Team Leadership: Managing one direct report.
About you
• Tertiary qualifications in Tourism Management, Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the tourism industry, particularly in distribution development and partnership marketing.
• Highly developed English language skills (reading, writing, and oral).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and marketing campaigns.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership abilities, with the initiative to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours and travel as required by a multinational organisation.
