Senior Accountant – Houston, TX
About Us:
Senior Psych Care provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the long-term care patient, at their facility.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, financial reporting, and other accounting-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enter and maintain business transactions in QuickBooks
• Help balance and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform AP, AR, and GL activities
• Bank reconciliations
• Perform daily cash reconciliation
• Assist in the preparation of year-end reports and documentation for Audits
• Statement billing
• Prepare schedules, analyze trends for costs, revenues, and financial commitments
• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial reports
• Prepare daily/weekly bank deposits
• Fixed Asset capitalization, depreciation, and amortization
• Expense accruals and prepaid amortization
• Manage expense reimbursement platform
• Adhoc projects and reporting required
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Experience managing expense reimbursement platforms
• Must possess qualities of attention to detail, organizational skills, quick learner, team- and results-oriented
Work Environment:
• Office-based
• Fast-paced healthcare administrative setting
• Full-time Monday-Friday (in-person) position
