The Commercial Contract Lead is responsible for the commercial management and performance of wastewater tankering contracts, ensuring services are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual obligations. The role acts as the primary commercial interface between clients, operational teams, and subcontractors, driving contract profitability, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the commercial management of wastewater tankering contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for clients, maintaining strong and collaborative relationships.
• Monitor contract performance against agreed KPIs, service levels, and financial targets.
• Manage contract budgets, forecasts, revenue, costs, and profitability.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial risks while maximising opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing structures, variations, and renewals.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier commercial performance, ensuring value for money and compliance.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Analyse operational and financial data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health & safety requirements, and company governance standards.
• Resolve commercial disputes, contract issues, and customer escalations in a timely manner.
• Support business development activities, including tender responses, pricing proposals, and contract mobilisation.
• Produce regular performance, financial, and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance contract profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across clients, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal teams.
