Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting FosterAdopt Connect's facilities by ensuring buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance while responding to facility needs in a timely and professional manner.
Working closely with staff, leadership, vendors, and other members of the Facilities team, the Maintenance Technician helps identify and resolve maintenance issues before they become larger problems. Responsibilities may include basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC-related tasks, furniture and equipment repairs, grounds maintenance, and general building upkeep. The Maintenance Technician also helps maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment by conducting regular facility inspections, documenting completed work, coordinating with outside contractors when needed, and ensuring maintenance concerns are communicated appropriately. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to prioritize multiple requests.
Although much of this work happens behind the scenes, its impact is felt every day. Your work helps ensure our employees have safe and functional spaces in which to serve children, youth, and families, allowing our teams to remain focused on our mission.
