We are currently seeking an experienced and responsible Night Manager to oversee the overnight operations of one of our all-inclusive hotels. The selected candidate will act as the senior manager on duty and ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the hotel throughout the night.

The Role

The Night Manager will ensure that guests receive professional service, hotel procedures are followed, emergencies are handled appropriately, and all operational, safety and financial controls are completed accurately.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume full management responsibility for the hotel during the night shift.

• Ensure the smooth operation of the Front Office and all other overnight departments.

• Welcome late-arriving guests and oversee check-ins, check-outs, room allocations and special requests.

• Handle guest complaints, emergencies and unusual situations calmly and professionally.

• Monitor service standards and ensure guests receive the correct all-inclusive services and entitlements.

• Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food and Beverage and other departments when assistance is required.

• Ensure restaurants, bars, entertainment areas and public spaces are closed safely and according to hotel procedures.

• Oversee the night audit and verify room charges, payments, cash transactions, credit limits and daily revenue reports.

• Investigate and correct billing or system discrepancies before closing the business day.

• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, public spaces, entrances and back-of-house areas.

• Ensure compliance with fire, health and safety, security and emergency procedures.

• Respond appropriately to medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations and security concerns.

• Record all incidents, complaints, maintenance issues and significant events in the Night Manager’s logbook.

• Monitor noise levels, guest behaviour and access to the hotel during nighttime hours.

• Ensure employees on duty are present, properly groomed and carrying out their responsibilities.

• Guide and support overnight employees and arrange operational coverage when necessary.

• Liaise with emergency services, contractors and external authorities when required.

• Prepare a detailed handover for the morning management team.

• Maintain confidentiality concerning guests, employees and hotel operations.

• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by senior management.

Requirements

• Previous Front Office or hotel operations experience, preferably within a large all-inclusive hotel.

• Previous experience in a supervisory, Duty Manager or Night Manager position.

• Strong knowledge of hotel property-management systems and night-audit procedures.

• Excellent leadership, communication and guest-service skills.

• Ability to manage complaints, emergencies and challenging situations calmly and professionally.

• Good understanding of financial controls, cash handling, fire safety and security procedures.

• Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.

• Availability to work permanent night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
