Department: Enterprise / Truckload Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0700–1600 EST

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Enterprise Account Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound freight options and securing carrier capacity across assigned accounts. This role will work closely with FleetWorks, Parade, API, Carrier Sales, Account Management, and Operations to identify, evaluate, and book the best available transportation options.

The primary focus of the position is booking freight, maximizing coverage, and effectively managing available carrier options. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for carriers coming through FleetWorks and Parade and will be responsible for quickly acting on those opportunities to secure coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inbound & Carrier Options

• Monitor inbound carrier options coming through FleetWorks and Parade throughout the day.

• Post and cover all day of freight for the Enterprise team.

• Serve as the go-to person for calling, communicating with, and booking carriers from FleetWorks and Parade.

• Review available carrier options and determine the best opportunities to secure coverage.

• Work closely with API, Carrier Sales, and Operations to ensure all available options are being utilized.

• Follow up with carriers to confirm availability, pricing, and commitment to the load.

• Build strong working relationships with carriers to improve response time and booking success.

Booking & Account Execution

• Own the booking process for assigned inbound freight.

• Monitor open, pending, and covered freight throughout the day.

• Prioritize time-sensitive and difficult-to-cover shipments.

• Communicate with Account Management and Operations regarding coverage, exceptions, and outstanding freight.

• Provide customer updates and account support when needed.

Morning Account Coverage

• Handle account responsibilities from 0700–0800 until the account team is online, ensuring a seamless start to the day.

• Manage customer updates, inbound carrier options, accepting tenders, and other time-sensitive account responsibilities during this period.

• Monitor new freight and immediately begin working available carrier options to secure coverage.

• Address any urgent account or operational needs that arise before the broader team begins at 0800.

• Provide a clear handoff to the account team at 0800, including outstanding freight, coverage needs, customer updates, and any items requiring follow-up.

Performance & Accountability

Success in this role will be primarily measured by booking and coverage performance, including:

• Loads Booked

• Booking Percentage

• Coverage Rate

• Speed to Cover

• FleetWorks & Parade Option Utilization

• Carrier Response and Conversion

Customer communication and account support remain important responsibilities, but the core expectation of this role is to identify opportunities, contact carriers, and get freight booked.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

This position is designed to serve as a stepping stone into an Account Manager role. The Inbound Account Coordinator will gain hands-on experience managing customer accounts, coordinating with internal teams, working directly with carriers, managing inbound freight, and understanding the day-to-day responsibilities of account ownership. Strong performance in this role will provide the foundation for taking on additional account responsibilities and progressing into an Account Manager position.
