About this role

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to Program Director

• Roles reporting to position WASH Coordinator, Shelter Coordinator, Finance & Logistics Coordinator

• Approximate number of reports 3-5

Essential Functions

• Develop the project scopes-of-work, milestones, and timeline and budget and track these accurately, updating the necessary tracking systems e.g. Salesforce,.

• In cooperation with the Program Director, oversee implementing the project whilst adhering to the approved timeline and budget constraints, supporting the Finance and Logistics Coordinator in tracking and reviewing all field related expenses.

• Manage and coordinate program activities (including in WASH and Shelter sectors), as well as develop additional scopes of work as identified, in coordination with the Program Director, Field Team, and Off-program Support.

• Attend relevant Coordination and Cluster meetings to engage with other organisations, seek strategic partnerships, and understand the larger response environment and how the organisation can fill gaps.

• Ensure compliance with Sphere Standards, CHS, donor requirements, and organizational SOPs.

• Conduct regular field monitoring visits and use findings to improve implementation

• Oversee beneficiary assessments, targeting, registration, verification, distributions, and post-distribution monitoring.

• Continuously develop and evaluate the project scope, quality and impact, through a meaningful monitoring and evaluation framework.

• Support the Program Director in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety and Security procedures.

• Recruit and train project team members to ensure compliance with project standards in safety and implementation quality.

• Provide supportive leadership, manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local staff and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.

• Manage and support the field team to implement efficient procurement processes for the project sites.

• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers supporting project implementation.

• Represent the organization in coordination meetings as delegated by the Program Director.

• Compile weekly and fortnightly progress reports for the Program Director and off program management

• Perform other duties as required

Position Requirements

• Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, International Development, Humanitarian Assistance, or related field preferred.

• Related Experience Previous All Hands and Hearts experience preferred. 1+ years experience project management in an international context. 1+ years experience managing teams

• Special Competencies/Certifications Excellent written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. Outstanding leadership and delegation skills. Able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast paced environment. Must have a sophisticated and developed management style. Familiarity with international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP

• Language Spanish fluency and English working proficiency required.

• High stress situations in an immediate post-disaster environment with limited amenities

Compensation & Benefits

• Typical starting salary is $1,550-1,763 USD / month, and up to $1,975 USD / month for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
