Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Hay farming. Other grain farming. Potato and vegetable. Work setting: Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development. Coordinate planting and cultivating activities. Follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology and cover crops. Handling animals. Implement soil fertility programs. Mixing fertilizer. Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Seed cutting. Supervise staff in shoots positioning and seed cutting. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Manage overall operation of farm. Maintain financial and production records. Perform general farm duties. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Supervisory Experience. Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility.
