Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Commercial dental laboratory. Tasks: Design dental devices. Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Polish and buff dentures. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Waxing-up. Casting. Polishing. Area of specialization: Full dentures.
