Job Title: MIG WelderJob DescriptionAs a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding various types of steel and alloys. The materials you will work with include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, black steel, and alloys, primarily in thinner gauges up to 1/8" thick. You will weld from blueprints, and while materials are pre-fitted into fixtures, you will need to transport these fixtures into your welding bay, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding on various types of steel and alloys • Interpret and work from blueprints to complete welding tasks accurately. • Transport welding fixtures into the welding bay, ensuring safe handling. • Work with materials that are up to 1/8" thick, requiring precise welding techniques. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of recent experience in MIG welding or equivalent schooling. • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints; candidates will be tested on this skill. • Proficiency in using a tape measure with precision up to 1/32". • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Possession of a 2-year welding degree is preferred. • Experience in pipe welding is a plus. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
