CNC Mill Setup Operator 1st shift- $28-32/hour

What You'll Do As a CNC Mill Setup Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring production success by:
• Setting up CNC milling machines, tooling, fixtures, work-holding devices, and machine offsets using approved setup documentation. • Loading, verifying, and proving out CNC programs to ensure seamless production readiness. • Producing and inspecting first-article parts to verify compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications. • Making machine, tooling, and offset adjustments to achieve and maintain dimensional accuracy. • Ensuring all required cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, and materials are prepared and available before production starts. • Troubleshooting machining, setup, tooling, and fixture issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. • Supporting operators and machinists during job startups, changeovers, and production runs. • Performing tool changes, program adjustments, and setup corrections as required. • Working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve processes, reduce setup times, and solve manufacturing challenges. • Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work area while following all quality and safety standards. What Makes You Successful Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of CNC machining and setup experience, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment. • Strong experience setting up CNC milling machines for production. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing instructions. • Knowledge of CNC controls, cutting tools, work-holding systems, machining parameters, and setup techniques. • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in AS9100, aerospace, medical, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments. • Technical school, apprenticeship, or formal machining education. • Experience optimizing setups and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
