About this role

Job DescriptionThe Production Associate is responsible for building pre-fabricated doors and door jambs by measuring, aligning, and securing components according to specifications and quality standards. This role requires operating basic hand and power tools, reading work instructions, and performing routine inspections to ensure proper fit and finish. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced production environment, and capable of safely lifting and moving materials as needed.Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery such as table saws, planers, sanders, routers, and CNC equipment (training provided as needed). • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components for interior and exterior doors. • Assist in the preparation, layout, and assembly of door frames, panels, and custom components. • Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy, defects, and adherence to quality standards. • Perform sanding, fitting, and adjustments to ensure high-quality craftsmanship. • Follow established quality standards and report issues to supervisors. • Maintain a clean and organized workstation. • Perform basic machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Follow daily production schedules and meet output targets. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion. • Assist with material handling, inventory checks, and staging components for assembly. Essential Skills

• Basic experience with hand tools or power tools (professional or hobbyist). • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret simple drawings or work orders. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods. • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing. • Familiarity with woodworking assembly tools such as a router, table saw, and nail gun. • Experience in door, cabinet, or millwork production. • Understanding of wood species, joinery, and finishing techniques. The work may expose you to sawdust or other wood products. You will be required to lift heavy materials regularly, including large doors and bundles of mouldings, consistently throughout your shift, up to 100 pounds. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
