About this role

Job Title: Industrial PainterJob DescriptionJoin our team as an Industrial Painter, where you will be responsible for blasting and prepping rough surfaces to prepare structural steel for painting. Your duties will involve material handling and using industrial painting equipment to apply paint to steel structures. Responsibilities • Blast and prep rough surfaces for painting structural steel. • Assist in pre-paint operations. • Handle materials efficiently and safely. • Use industrial painting equipment to paint steel structures. • Mix paint accurately and effectively. • Perform sandblasting and spray painting tasks, including airless spraying. Essential Skills • Experience in blasting and materials preparation. • Proficiency in sandblasting and spray painting, including airless spraying. • Skill in paint mixing and handling industrial painting equipment. Work EnvironmentWork in our 100,000 square foot AISC-Certified Manufacturing Center in Portland, Oregon, equipped with complete fabrication, sandblasting, and painting facilities. Our state-of-the-art computer drafting and modeling department is located on our 10-acre campus. Most projects support structural/architectural/construction efforts and national operations for structural conveying systems used in mining. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
