About this role

The Product Builder Role at Exelab Exelab builds custom, AI-powered solutions, each one tailor-made to a client's specific business objective. We run every engagement like a small product effort: we start from a real problem and craft a solution to move a real metric (revenue, efficiency, conversion, retention). We work in small, tight teams, close to the client's business, and we use AI directly in how we design and build. What matters to us is the impact we create for clients. The Product Builder turns an idea into a real, working product. Working closely with our revenue team, the Product Builder helps shape the solution that will create value for the client, then owns turning that agreed direction into a product that genuinely answers the need and works in the real world, within the budget and timeline set with the client. The work is hands-on: the Product Builder designs and builds the solution in first person, with AI as the main power tool, and brings in a team of specialists for the pieces that need them, carrying the solution from problem to working product. Because we take on different clients and problems through the year, the role rewards someone who learns a new domain fast and works at a genuinely quick pace. Key Responsibilities The Product Builder makes an agreed idea real, and makes it excellent. The core responsibilities: Turn the agreed idea into a working product: Shape the solution direction together with the revenue team, then own bringing it to life: a product that answers the need, works in the real world, and lands within the agreed budget and timeline. Build it, in first person, with AI: Do the core building directly with modern AI-assisted tools, moving fast and iterating along the way. AI multiplies what the Product Builder can do here, and the craft and the judgment on how to build stay with them. Build with a team of specialists: Bring in and coordinate the specialists the work needs (technical, data, design, and others), and lean on a Solution Architect for the harder technical calls (architecture, security, how something scales). Knowing which specialist to engage, and when, is part of the job, and it keeps the product solid. Make it genuinely work for the user: Build something people can actually use well: simple, robust, and fitting the real workflow. The point is a product that does its job cleanly and gets adopted. Make it hold up in the real world: Put the work in front of real usage, catch what falls short, and refine it until it does the job well within the agreed scope, letting real use guide the next step. In summary, the Product Builder takes a direction and turns it into a real, working product that answers the need, within the constraints agreed with the client. It is a role for a maker with genuine product judgment, who owns the how and the quality of the build, works with the revenue team on shaping the solution and its value, and brings in a team of specialists for the parts that need them.
