Job Description Summary You will be responsible for ensuring that the specified scope (package/material) is completely delivered at the required location, safely, at the right time, in good condition and within the allocated budget.
In the frame of the 2GW program, 5 projects have been awarded by Tennet to GEV-GSI, 3 projects in the Netherlands and 2 in Germany. Roles and Responsibilities
Project Coordination: Manage the delivery of equipment up to the place of destination within the timescale defined by the Project team and in coordination with all stakeholdersEnsure that all shipping documents are properly issued and released in due course to stakeholders so that the expected delivery date and payment date are metEnsure that all the international trade regulations & GE rules are fully respected before shippingEnsure that Service Providers are duly informed about EHS rules and implement themEnsure that the method statement for sensitive operations is issued in due time by the Service Provider and that operations are carried out accordinglyManage and approve invoices from local transportation companiesFollow all logistics procedures, processes & use logistics toolsMonitor logistics risks and opportunities within the project, report on delivery progress, cost tracking, and other relevant information to the Project Procurement and Logistics Manager
Sourcing Logistics: Collate all relevant data to issue Request for Quotations (RFQ) to Transport Service ProvidersIssuing RFQ to Transport Service Providers using the GE templates and following the GE sourcing rulesReview offers, send clarification requests to the service providers & negotiate pricesEnsure all quotations are complete, compliant and received in due timePresent price comparison tables and technical analysis. Highlight the logistics contingencies, risk and opportunities with the associated mitigation plan
Continuous improvement Provides Service Provider performance feedback to Sourcing/Commodity LeaderFollow all logistics processes & use logistics toolsFollows quality control procedures, work procedures, and processesPromptly report and handle non-compliant cargo or transport methodActive participation in the non-conformity reporting and lessons learned
Required Qualifications and Desired Characteristics Bachelor degree in Logistics or similar / Additionally at least 5 years of relevant experience is requiredGood Knowledge of Turnkey Project LogisticsGood knowledge of special transports (out of gauge and/or heavy)Proven knowledge of International Trade rules (Incoterms, Customs, Letter of Credit...)Good knowledge of Grid Solutions Projects and equipmentLanguages: fluent in written and spoken EnglishDecision making, problem solving, ability to independently resolve issues with difficult suppliersKnowledge in scheduling/planning of large and complex projectsRoad freight, sea freight, air freight and multimodalDangerous goodsHeavy lifts & oversized loadsIndustrial packingImport/export procedures
