Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will design and develop unprecedented solutions for Cloud Engineering, solving complex or unusual business problems across several projects, programs, or products. This work includes architecture, design, coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in team building, collaboration, and facilitation of Cloud engineering in a large, multinational Fortune 500 enterprise. This individual will possess extensive experience in secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, with proven leadership capabilities. In this role, they will manage large-scale public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

The Lead Cloud Engineer role will offer the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Design and implement cloud strategies and architectures.

Build robust and modern solutions with hands-on coding

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business goals.

Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends.

Mentor junior engineers.

Ensure integration of cloud solutions with existing systems.

Identify and mitigate risks; troubleshoot complex issues.

Minimum Required Experiences

Bachelor degree or equivalentCloud CertificationsExperience working in mission-critical environments Technical Skills

Skilled in engineering resilient, highly available cloud solutions in secure multi-cloud environments e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP

Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, network architecture, security, and identity management.

Experience in building cloud environments (accounts and VPCs) and software-defined networking that allows for connectivity across the enterprise platforms

Ability to design Fault Tolerant platforms and implement Failover and Recovery Strategies

Skilled in DevOps and modern CI/CD methodologies and tools

Automating cloud orchestration with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to scale services

Experience with Cloud-native development frameworks and tools e.g. VPC, Lambda, SNS

Understanding of modern cloud scalability to right-size resources to meet platforms computing needs

Analytics and KPI usage to continuously evolve and improve Cloud Platforms

Knowledgeable of modern cloud architecture and holistic developer experience. Soft Skills

Ability to train and develop mid-senior level engineers

Strong understanding of mission-critical environments

Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills Tools

Public Cloud Services: AWS

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, JSON, YAML, and ARM Templates

Programing/Scripting: Shell Script, Python, PHP, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, and AWS step functions

OS: Linux

DevOps Practices: Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)

Networking: Understanding cloud network architecture, VPCs, and load balancing

Security: Implementing security best practices, access control, and data encryption

Target Salary: $141,000 to $184,000 a year

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. This position is eligible to participate in a Fannie Mae incentive program (subject to the terms of the program).
